Vintage Jewelry: Trifari

This morning I was helping my sister get dressed and to finish up her look I thought of one of my thrifted gold chain necklaces. When I got it out of my jewelry drawer I couldn't help but notice how amazing the necklace still looked, especially since I thrifted a year ago. For one of the first times, I thought there has to be something more to this necklace, because compared to the other chains that I have bought (thrift store, Forever21, and so forth) are lighter in weight and would have typically changed color by now. So before I gave it to her I looked for a designer, and there it was "Trifari."
In my googling I discovered that Trifari is a jewelry company founded in 1925 by Gustavo Trifari in New York ,  on 377 Fifth Avenue. He made so many beautiful pieces and they are so bold, even the simple ones like my gold chain. However most of pieces are statements similar to set the model is wearing in the ad above. This morning I made a amazing discovery that I shall remember always, especially when I need something to complete an outfit.
If you ever need a great statement piece be sure to check out some Trifari. It can be found in thrift stores, auction sites, Ebay, and other similar places.

P.S. The priciest one I found cost over $2000 but the lowest item was like $2!Oh yeah and if you Google First Lady Michelle Obama in Trifari you will see that she like them as well. :)

Until my next post, remember MAKE A STATEMENT everywhere you go! Sincerely, Miko!
