Its been a minute since a last posted anything once again but I have been writing papers, taking test, and gearing up for my study abroad trip to South Africa! Yay!
Anyhow, today's post is not about the latest trend that I have spotted nor is it about a fashion icon I admire. This post is all about me. Writing this post came to me last night as a I realized that I had managed to tune in and out of half of my professors lecture for an entire hour with my brain wondering into a world of creativity. It started with me dissecting each of my classmates clothes and picturing them tailored, cropped, dyed, patterned, and even in different materials (leather, silk, etc.). From there I started turning their new clothes into brand new outfits even switching their clothes between each other. Then I started thinking about some Fall 2014 Nicholas Kirkwood heels that saw on Pinterest which transferred to me thinking about which items are going to be my Fall staples and where I could find a seamstress in this town to make them my own. I did this for an HOUR! and then for another 20 minutes I managed to sketch out 4 fall outfits and a number of t-shirts to last a company for at least two years.
Let me be the first to say I AM DISTRUBED...fashionably that is but I'm convinced that it is okay. According to my mom I have always been like this, refusing to leave the house before I was completely sure that my outfit, hair, and nails meshed perfectly together. However, over the past few years, my obsession has increased at a pace beyond my control; hence why I started this blog. After what happened yesterday in class I have realized that this blog is a necessity because my obsession is beyond my control and if I do not share my thoughts or at least make some record of them, regardless of who reads them, I have episodes. Episodes that cause me to turn whatever environment I am into a fashion universe. In fact I am back on Pinterest, blogging, and watching "The Devil Wears Prada," all at these very moment. Needless to say I plan on returning to my old posting habits.
P.S. Who doesn't live for those moments where your outfits makes everyone is the room reenact the makeover Chanel Boots scene from "The Devil Wears Prada." :)
Until my next post, remember to release the creativity inside of you! Sincerely, Miko!
